Our story

Bridges between the will to act and real impact.

In 2023, IKOUĒ was born from a question many Central Africans abroad ask themselves: how can I contribute to the country's development? From Bangui, we turn that will into concrete action.
  1. 2023

    IKOUĒ is born

    • To give Central Africans in the diaspora the means to contribute concretely to the country's development, wherever they are. IKOUĒ turns that will to act into real projects, carried out from Bangui.
    • IKOUĒ Sarl, the company's legal entity, is incorporated in Bangui, laying its legal foundation. It marks the official starting point of a venture built from day one for and with the Central African Republic.
    • A team comes together across Bangui and the diaspora, bringing complementary skills around one shared conviction: build from the ground, with the people who know it best.
  2. 2024

    Academy and community

    • The Academy opens its very first cohort: twenty learners trained in tech careers, selected from over a hundred applications.
    • Partnership signed with the National Office for Informatics (ONI), which provides an equipped computer room, the hardware foundation that makes the first hands-on sessions possible.
    • The IKOUĒ Developers Conference (IDC24) brings local tech together in Bangui: developers, entrepreneurs, and partners exchanging around the Central African digital ecosystem.
  3. 2025

    The African Caucus in Bangui

    • The Government entrusts us with the African Caucus digital platforms, recognition of our technical expertise in service of a major pan-African event.
    • The first cohort, launched in 2024, continues its curriculum combining mentorship and practice, working toward delivering its very first end-to-end product.
    • Connect links the diaspora to the ground: a platform putting everyone's time, expertise, and network to work for concrete projects in the Central African Republic.
  4. 2026

    Today

    • From Bangui to Banjul: we hand the Caucus platforms over to The Gambia.
    • We train the Ministry of Finance staff on digitalization.
    • Partnership with the CCIS to co-build Central African digital.
