Terms of use
The rules for using ikoue.com, operated by IKOUĒ, based in Bangui, Central African Republic.
What this site covers
ikoue.com presents our programs (Academy, Factory, Connect) and our news, and lets you contact us, apply to the Academy, pitch a project to the Factory, or join the Connect waitlist.
These terms do not cover products we operate separately, such as the Academy's learning platform, Scolar, or our portal (app.ikoue.com): those services have, or will have, their own terms.
No account, no purchase
This site does not create any user account and does not process any payment. Each form simply sends the information you provide to the relevant team, as described in our privacy policy.
Accuracy of your information
When you write to us, apply to the Academy, or pitch a project to the Factory, you commit to providing accurate, truthful information about yourself. We reserve the right to disregard an application based on information that is clearly false.
Acceptable use
By using this site, you agree not to:
- attempt to bypass our security measures, including our anti-bot protection;
- use our forms to send unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive content, or to impersonate someone else;
- extract or copy the site's content in an automated way ("scraping") for commercial purposes;
- disrupt the normal operation of the site or its forms.
Applications and waitlists
Applying to the Academy, pitching a project to the Factory, or joining the Connect waitlist does not guarantee your selection, admission, or funding. Every Academy promotion and Factory cohort is limited, and selection is made against our own criteria, at our discretion.
We will get back to you within a reasonable time, but we cannot guarantee a specific timeline given the volume of applications we receive.
Intellectual property
The IKOUĒ name, our logo, and all text, images, and graphic elements on the site are our property or that of our partners, and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not reuse them without our prior written consent, beyond personal, non-commercial use.
Content you submit to us (a pitch, a motivation letter, a message) remains yours. By sending it to us, you simply authorize us to read, evaluate, and respond to it as part of the relevant program.
Links and third-party services
The site may link to third-party services (social networks, Discord, GitHub, or a mail client via a "mailto" link). We are not responsible for the content or practices of those external services, which have their own terms.
Availability of the site
We do our best to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The site and its content are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, IKOUĒ will not be liable for any indirect damage arising from the use of, or the inability to use, this site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Central African Republic. Any dispute over their interpretation or performance falls under the jurisdiction of the Central African courts, unless a mandatory legal provision applicable to your situation says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms as the site or our programs evolve. The last-updated date at the top of this page reflects the version in effect.
