Who we are

IKOUĒ is based in Bangui, Central African Republic. We are responsible for the data processing described here for ikoue.com.

This policy does not cover products we build separately, such as the Academy's learning platform or Scolar: once those services launch publicly, they will have their own policy.

The data we collect

We only collect what you willingly share with us through one of the forms on this site, plus a few technical signals needed to run and secure the site.

• Contact form: first name, last name, email, company and job title (optional), and your message.
• Academy application: name, email, city, level, and your motivation.
• Factory request ("Request for Startup"): name, email, city, category, and your project pitch.
• Connect waitlist: your email only.
• Job applications: open roles use a direct email link ("mailto"). Your CV and message leave from your own mail client; they never pass through a form on this site.
• Technical data: aggregated, anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, device, country), and an anti-bot signal when you submit a form (see "Cookies and trackers" below).

Why we collect it

We use this data to: reply to your message, evaluate an application or a pitch, confirm your sign-up, keep you posted on the Connect launch or the next Academy promotion, and keep the site secure and running.

Depending on the case, the legal basis for this processing is: your consent (when you join a waitlist), steps taken at your request prior to a contract (when you apply to the Academy or the Factory), or our legitimate interest in responding to messages sent to us.

Confirmed opt-in

For the Academy, the Factory, and Connect, your email is added to our list only after confirmation: we send you a confirmation link by email, valid for 48 hours, and the sign-up only becomes effective once you click it.

That link is a signed token carrying your request; we never store it in a database, it simply expires after 48 hours. The pitch, motivation, or city you shared, on the other hand, is sent immediately to the team handling applications: that email is the record of your application.

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails, or by writing to contact@ikoue.com.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. We rely on a small number of technical providers, who process your data on our behalf, for the sole purpose of running the site:

• Resend: sends our transactional emails, and hosts the list of confirmed contacts (Academy, Factory, Connect).
• Vercel: hosts the site and provides anonymous, cookieless audience measurement.
• Cloudflare: anti-bot protection (Turnstile) on our forms, and hosting for our videos.

International transfers

These providers run global infrastructure, which can mean your data is processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States. We only work with recognized providers that apply standard contractual data-protection safeguards.

Cookies and trackers

ikoue.com does not set any tracking cookie of its own. Our audience measurement (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookieless: it only collects aggregated statistics, with no identifier tied to you personally.

Our anti-bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), shown on our forms, may use technical signals similar to cookies to verify you are not a bot; it is necessary to keep the site secure.

If we ever enable a cookie-based analytics tool, we will ask for your consent beforehand through a dedicated banner, before any cookie is set.

Retention

Messages received by email (contact, applications, pitches) are kept in the relevant team's mailbox for as long as needed to handle your request, then for a reasonable archival period.

Your email and name, once confirmed on a list (Academy, Factory, or Connect), are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Security

The site runs entirely over HTTPS. Our forms are protected against automated submissions, and confirmation links are cryptographically signed to prevent tampering. We collect no passwords and no payment data on this site.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a minor has shared personal data with us without a parent or guardian's consent, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@ikoue.com; we will respond within a reasonable time.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law evolves. The last-updated date at the top of this page lets you track those changes.
